Things are taking shape…

As well as making decisions about colours and interiors, there’s also the important issue of facilities to consider. As the design of Jubilee House progresses we are learning more and more every day. We are working with the architects to ensure, where we can, that we make our building easily accessible for all staff and visitors.

There will be the required number of bathrooms on each of the floors of the building but following recent discussions with Anne and Richard from The Brothers of Charity organisation we learnt about “Changing Places Toilets”. We were compelled by what they had to say about the shortage of these facilities in public places that we’ve managed to amend the building plans to incorporate a new “Accessible toilet” here in Jubilee House.

Until we spoke to Anne and Richard we didn’t realise that there’s a difference between a “Disabled Toilet” and an “Accessible Toilet”!  If you would like to know more about Changing Places toilets, their website is a great place to start.   For further more detailed information please visit
